CHAMP’s solutions manage the commercial, operational and financial flows related to air cargo and support its customers and their clients to meet global trade demands.

CHAMP is headquartered in Contern, Luxembourg and was founded in 2004 by Cargolux Airlines with the spin-off of its IT division. In January 2005, CHAMP merged with SITA Cargo (UK) to accelerate growth and global reach.

Today, 15 years later, CHAMP serves over 200 airlines, GHA and GSA, and link these with some 3,000 forwarders worldwide. This represents a physical market share of 50% and digital market share of 80% worldwide. The likelihood for a piece of air cargo not to be processed by a CHAMP solution during its journey is minimal.

Worldwide, diverse and inclusive

CHAMP employs 500 staffs of which half is in Asia. CHAMP HQ is in Luxembourg (140 staffs) but also has offices in London, Zurich, Frankfurt, Manila, Singapore and Atlanta.

The talents of CHAMP are composed of 43 nationalities, 33% female and 67% male.

Powering and connecting the world out of Luxembourg

CHAMP’s solutions are provided in a Software as a Service mode out of its high criticality datacenter located in Luxembourg. Everyday CHAMPS connects from Luxembourg over 20,000 distinct companies worldwide in their digital logistics exchanges.

In particular, CHAMP performs electronic pre-clearance for 130 airlines to 59 customs, representing every month 1 million digital clearance performed out of its datacenter in Luxembourg.

World innovator

Recently CHAMP, was a finalist of the IATA World Cargo Symposium Innovation Award with a blockchain initiative and has won the ECS Group #NexGenLeaders 2019 Challenge for with a solution for, “Augmented Reality for Air Cargo Warehouses”.

Leading industry Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

Aside from internal CSR activities focusing on education, young talents and ecology, CHAMP has initiated with TIACA an industry wide sustainability program and is sponsoring a global sustainability whose main objective is to generate ideas, appreciate and stimulate sustainability initiatives in the air cargo sector.

Through our activities, locally we contributed to donations for associations such as Caritas, Red Cross, Win for Youth of Adecco, Integration of people with Limited Mobility, or kinder not hilfe.
